The August sun is beautiful in the afternoon. Walking through Southbank in Brisbane I got my art fix and while walking around took candid photos. The light play, shapes and contrast of old Brisbane with the new strikes me and finds a new appreciation for watching the art scene as well as the changing landscape of urban spaces. I adore street art and how it surprises you. Lost in thought it pierces through to enliven the harder edges and leaves an indelible impression. My current fascination extends to the golden hour. Light play in the golden hour alters depth perception and highlights beauty in movement with inanimate objects like buildings, large glass panels and bridges. Stay tuned for more of my golden hour photos in future Intel posts.
In the meantime here’s a peak at my birds eye view of August, it’s light and current exhibitions in our arts precinct.
